Growing up in New Jersey, I was only about ten minutes from the beach. A lot of my childhood was shaped by the Jersey Shore — surf shops, skate culture, beach towns, and the style that came with it.
Ever since I was a kid, I was obsessed with surf and skate brands. In school, I was constantly doodling in notebooks, sketching logos, coming up with brand names, and designing graphics during class instead of paying attention half the time. Even back then, I loved the idea that clothing could represent a lifestyle and a mindset.
Clothing has always been powerful to me because it’s one of the few ways people express themselves every single day. What you wear says something about who you are, what you’re into, and how you see the world.
I played sports my entire life growing up. But after college, like a lot of people, organized sports kind of came to an end. That competitive outlet and sense of progression disappeared for a while.
That’s when I really found golf.
Golf gave me something I didn’t realize I missed. It got me outside, gave me time with friends and family, and gave me something to work at constantly. No matter how good you get, there’s always another level to chase. That’s what made me fall in love with it.
As I got deeper into golf, I started paying more attention to the apparel side of the game. But honestly, I struggled to find brands that felt like me.
A lot of golf clothing either felt too uptight, too gimmicky, or looked exactly the same as everything else already out there. I wanted something that felt more natural — something inspired by the coastal lifestyle I grew up around. Relaxed but still clean. Something you could wear on the course, at the beach, grabbing food after a round, or just in everyday life.
That idea eventually became Breakpoint Golf Co.
Breakpoint was built around the idea that golf style doesn’t have to fit into one box. You can love golf while still being inspired by surf culture, skate culture, art, travel, music, and everything else that shapes who you are.
At the end of the day, Breakpoint is about creating apparel that feels authentic to the lifestyle I grew up around and the lifestyle I still live today — golf, coastal living, creativity, and good people.
Building something that feels true to me — and hopefully that resonates with other people too.
